STMA Academy Reading is incredibly proud to celebrate a fantastic achievement for one of our young fighters, Jimmy, who has been named a winner at the Berkshire Sports Awards.

At just 13 years old, Jimmy has already established himself as one of the most dedicated and promising young Muay Thai fighters in the region. His latest award is a fantastic recognition of his hard work, commitment and achievements both inside and outside the ring.

What makes this achievement even more special for everyone at STMA Academy Reading is that Jimmy has been part of our journey from the very beginning. He joined us when we first opened our doors nearly five years ago, and since then, he has developed into an accomplished young fighter who continues to push himself every single week.

A Remarkable Commitment to Training

Jimmy’s work ethic is exceptional for someone of his age. He currently trains six days a week, alongside multiple private training sessions, demonstrating an incredible level of discipline and determination.

His dedication has already resulted in an impressive list of championship achievements, including:

  • 🥇 Muay Thai GB / WBC British Champion – Novice
  • 🥇 Muay Thai GB / WBC British Champion – Advanced
  • 🥇 ISKA British Junior Muay Thai Champion
  • 🥇 ISKA English Junior Muay Thai Champion
  • 🥇 WIMA International Champion

And Jimmy’s achievements continue to grow.

Last Sunday, he added another Muay Thai GB / WBC British Championship gold medal to his collection. Remarkably, this was already his 15th fight of the year — an extraordinary schedule for a 13-year-old athlete.

The Journey Continues

Despite everything he has already achieved, Jimmy isn’t slowing down.

His upcoming competition schedule includes some major challenges:

24th October – WKO Tournament
Another opportunity to test his skills and continue his development.

5th–8th November – ISKA World Championships, Madrid, Spain 🇪🇸
Jimmy will travel to Madrid to compete at the ISKA World Championships, where he will be fighting for a World Title.

28th November – Rising Stars Show, London ⭐
Following an incredible selection process involving more than 200 applicants, Jimmy has been chosen as one of just 10 fighters competing for a WBC belt.

5th December – Muay Thai Royalty Show, Guildford 🥊
Jimmy will face another major challenge as he takes on a British Title challenge.

More Than Just a Fighter

While Jimmy’s list of medals, championships and victories is impressive, his achievements represent much more than what happens inside the ring.

His journey demonstrates the importance of discipline, consistency, commitment and a willingness to keep learning. At just 13, Jimmy is already showing the mindset required to succeed in competitive martial arts.

For everyone at STMA Academy Reading, it is particularly rewarding to see a young fighter who has been with us since our opening continue to develop, improve and take on increasingly challenging opportunities.

We couldn’t be prouder of everything Jimmy has achieved so far and, more importantly, the person and fighter he is becoming.

Congratulations, Jimmy!

Winning the Berkshire Sports Award is a fantastic achievement and one that is thoroughly deserved.

From joining STMA Academy Reading nearly five years ago to becoming a multiple British and international champion, Jimmy’s journey is a brilliant example of what can be achieved through hard work, dedication and a genuine passion for martial arts.

Congratulations, Jimmy, from everyone at STMA Academy Reading! 🏆👏🥊

And with more major fights already on the horizon, we’re excited to see what comes next.
